John Von Stade is a Vice President of Velocity
Sports & Entertainment. John joined Velocity in 2003 and
is responsible for directing Eli Lilly's Cialis global sponsorship
strategy and sponsorship portfolio. Additionally he works
on business development. John is also a member of the company's
Operations Management Group, which is charged with managing
the day-to-day activities of the agency.
Prior to Velocity, John spent the last 10 years at Millsport
where he directed account functions for clients such as GTE,
Lipton, Sony and Disney. While at Millsport he was also responsible
for the development and management of Millsport Golf as well
as several other line functions.
In his earlier years, John was responsible for the GTE account
where he directed their activities tied to the NCAA and the
Academic All-America program. In addition, John managed USA
Track & Field's 1996 Olympic sponsorship program. Prior
to Millsport, John spend the first five years of his career
with Cincinnati-based Riber Sports Marketing.
John is a graduate of St. Lawrence University. He and his
wife Ann live in Darien, CT, with their three children.
