Joe Carroll Joins Velocity Sports & Entertainment as Director of Newly Formed West Coast Office

WESTPORT, CT (August 24, 2001) - Velocity Sports & Entertainment, the leading sponsorship marketing agency, announced the hiring of Joe Carroll as director. Carroll joins Velocity to oversee the growth and development of its newly formed West Coast office in San Francisco, and to spearhead the West Coast sponsorship activities of Cingular Wireless.

Carroll's addition will allow Velocity to continue its geographical expansion. Velocity now has offices in Westport, CT, Norwalk, CT, Washington D.C., Atlanta, and Chicago in addition to San Francisco.

Before joining Velocity, Carroll worked with the Marketing Arm where he managed the sponsorship activities for Pacific Bell. Prior to that, he worked for Pacific Telesis, where he negotiated sponsorships and naming rights deals for Pacific Bell and SBC Communications and developed marketing and activation programs. Carroll began his career working for The Wilkinson Group and IMG, where he worked with the PGA TOUR, LPGA TOUR, Sr. PGA TOUR and Nike Tour.

Carroll graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in 1989, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Business.
