May 16, 2006 - Velocity Sports and Entertainment is expanding its NASCAR presence by opening an office in Charlotte next Monday. Velocity, which has represented NASCAR sponsors such as Amoco, Nestle and Quaker State, has been involved in racing since the 1980s and has handled its NASCAR business from its office in Norwalk, Conn.The Charlotte office will be run by Trip Wheeler, son of Lowe's Motor Speedway President H.A. (Humpy) Wheeler.

"We've known for some time that Velocity needed to match its strength in motorsports with a location in the hub of NASCAR Nation," said Velocity Principal David Grant.
